We are just one week away from Gaylaxicon 2012 (maybe even less if you are coming in on Thursday)! Here are a few last minute items that should help make your Gaylaxicon experience better.

• Programming: The Gaylaxicon 2012 program schedule is now online. Plan out your weekend schedule now. The first scheduled panels begin at 3 PM on Friday.
• Registration: Registration officially opens at noon on Friday. You can still purchase your Saturday night dinner tickets and chapbooks when you pick up your registration packet. And if your friends forgot to pre-register, we are accepting at the door registrations online or at the convention. Cash, credit card, and checks accepted.
• The Cabaret needs you! Singers, Dancers, Comedians, Costumers and Performance Artists, the 2012 Gaylaxicon Cabaret is looking for you! Whether you have a poem to read or a costume for the catwalk please join us and share your art. Send a brief description along with your contact information to  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  with the words CABARET SHOW in the subject line.
• Chocolate: Don't forget to bring chocolate to share at the Chocolate Symposium, Saturday, 3 PM in Con Suite.
• Weather: The Weather Channel says we'll be in the upper 50s to lower 60s for Gaylaxicon weekend, with possible showers on Saturday. 
• Hotel: Visit our hotel page for directions to the Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis-Park Place in St. Louis Park, MN. There is a different Doubletree Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, and another Doubtree Hotel in Bloomington, so don't accidently end up at the wrong location.
• Food and Shopping: The Shops at Westend are now open with several food and shopping options for you, including a full grocery store, Rainbow Foods. There are also several other walkable food options and a Costco across the street. If you need to work out there is a Life Time Fitness three blocks away.
