Cabaret Catwalk
While we won’t be having a formal Masquerade with judging at Gaylaxicon, we will provide those of you in costumes a chance to strut your stuff during the Cabaret. If you would like, our emcee will give you an introduction. Please email

if you plan on wearing a costume and want to be a part of the catwalk during the Cabaret.
Saturday Buffet Dinner
The Saturday evening buffet dinner is back! Cash bar begins at 6:30 then the buffet will begin shortly after. After the dinner, we’ll have a short break and start the Cabaret at 8:30 pm (cash bar available outside the Cabaret beginning at 8:00 and open for the duration of the Cabaret). If you would like to attend the dinner, the cost is $25. You can purchase you dinner ticket online via our registration page.
Although we are only asking $25, you are more than welcome to contribute an additional donation to help cover the actual cost of the dinner. We are subsidizing the cost of the dinner to ensure that more folks can attend. If you know you are going to purchase a ticket, please do one of two things now – go online and buy one, or email

if you don’t want to pay online. We must let the hotel know several days in advance how many folks will be attending so we will only have a limited number of tickets for purchase at the convention itself. If you email registration, we’ll make sure to hold a ticket for you. If you pay on Eventbrite, you’re assured a spot. If you want to risk it, and not pay or notify us in advance, you might just miss one of the highlights of the convention. In addition, dinner attendees will receive preferred seating for the cabaret which follows afterwards.
Chocolate Symposium
On Saturday afternoon, we’ll be having a Chocolate Symposium. We’re bringing back this time honored tradition whereby convention attendees gather together, bringing and sharing chocolate with other attendees. You can bring specialties from your region, or something you picked up at the nearby grocery store, or for those of you who are truly talented, bring your homemade delectables. This event is open to every attendee of Gaylaxicon. You do not need to bring chocolate to attend, but we wanted to give you a heads up that the Chocolate Symposium is back.
