Electronic Arts, producer of Mass Effect and Star Wars: The Old Republic videogames, stated they would not be removing gay character options from their videogames, and would not bow to pressure from gay hate groups such as the Family Research Council and Florida Family Association. These groups have been inundating EA with letters demanding that videogames contain no references to GLBT characters.
